  6. VIOLET DEAREST!!! Is this the ribbon from the dentist visit?!In the first photo, do I see hand-dyed silk ribbon? Do you know how hard that is to find? LOVELY dearest, just lovely. What fab things do you have in mind with this fun ribbon?!

Sorry I am so late, I was exhausted last night after posting; thank you for coming by dear one.

Have a productive day; I wanna see that crown!!!!

  7. In case anyone wonders about Anita's comment about if the ribbon is from my visit to the dentist, (no, he does not give out ribbon to good patients : ) . . .
but there is a fabric store next door to his office where I reward myself with some lengths of ribbon after my dental visits.

I had planned to work in my studio most of the day yesterday but by the time I did some 'house stuff' I decided to go out for some home-made soup and bread at a local tea shop, bringing along a couple of mixed media books to inspire me for the afternoon. I stopped in a shop and came home with 3 more different ribbons, so it was indeed a day inspired by ribbon!

And I actually used some of it in some flower pins I am making.

RIBBON! so pretty!!! (commenting once again in my own comment section.... LOL! ~ Violet

  9. Hi!

to answer you question...those doilies in particular, are sewn on using a sewing machine...

however when I do need to glue a doily onto paper, which i have done countless times....
i use the famous 'tacky glue' from Michael's craft store! it's works very well!

do come again, after feeding the dogs, of course!

  10. Hi, just got your comment..fellow book page sniffer! lol

ummm...i'm not finished the first book yet, but to be honest the writing is simple, but good, the story weaving is alright...

but I'm not liking all the 'cheating' in the book...infidelity...not big on my list of favourites! so, i'll finish it to see if they all come to their senses, .....

    Other books...

    The Penny Tree
    The Wedding
    Circle of Grace
    A New Leaf

    those were good ones!
