I spray painted the metal on this thrift store dish

I found this cabinet at a thrift store recently,
it makes a nice home for my little bird collection

We got a lot accomplished this weekend.
Took a load of stuff from the garage and donated it to a thrift store,
-
It feels so much better to 'let go' than to hoard!
Must repeat this to myself when I go through my art supplies,
I tend not to believe it in my studio!
(By the way, I kept the giant cake)
-
It is a daunting task going through everything we own
and deciding what to keep as we prepare for our new adventure
of selling our house, building a new one, and moving to an apartment inbetween.

I was feeling frozen in place until I began.
Which is the key to getting anything accomplished

  1. LOVE the aqua. I've spray painted a few treasures aqua and love the contrast in the cottage.
LOVE the crown on the pillow, or are they ballet slippers that Anita made?? I cannot tell.
Good for you to be able to get "rid" of stuff. I know it feels good.

  9. Oh gracious Violet ~ I needed to read this post today. Ever since January 1st hit, I've been wanting to PURGE my closets and anything I don't need.

This gave me the encouragement to dig in today! But I'll have to wait for Saturday to do it~ ;)

I love the aqua ~ expecially in making the crown for the chair. I have two chairs that are very similar in shape and design. A great New Year's purchase two years ago at a local antique/consignment shop. I got two chairs for a mere $65 and they are imported from Italy. It was a dream come true to find them.

I recently have moved them from the master bedroom to the breakfast room to bring a little "umpf" to the table~ They're too pretty to be hidden in a room all day without any appreciation or attention.

Getting back to Aqua - ever since I painted my office the shade of the Tiffany Jewelry box/Aqua, my husband wants to paint the entire indoors the color. :) The hue is contagious to not only us women, but also to our Beloved spouses.

    xoxo
