Wishing you all a B L E S S E D thanksgiving day!
This year I've set the table with my husband's grandmother's
Apple Dishes
They seem very "Fall" to me
and I love that they have been in the family for so long.
The leaves on the place cards were collected a few years back,
dried and then glittered,
and surprisingly they are still intact.
The little white pumpkins were found at an antique store
one year after the Autumn season was past
and were a delightful bargain.
How I enjoy unwrapping them each year!
On the other side of this fireplace,
the great room mantle is decorated for Christmas
I refrained from taking the Autumn decor out of the dining room
but this weekend I am looking forward to seeing the
Christmas bins!
{how about you?}

ReplyDeleteI am finally out of the basement for the day. Back tomorrow to FINISH my work. I have missed you ALL in Blogland, not being able to visit for two days!
Your mantle and fireplace is so cozy my dear. How I wish I could be there with you. For the last 3-4 years, for however long we have been corresponding, you have become my sister that I never had. You have been with me through thick and thin, and for that, I am SO GRATEFUL! LOVE YOU SO! Anita
Oh Violet, the room looks so beautiful, and very inviting..

Happy Thanksgiving Violet! Your table is lovely and having your dining table by that incredible fireplace is wonderful! I saw your name on Anita's blog and wanted to hop over to say hi. I'm so glad I did. Your photography is fabulous. Love the guest room you created, so sweet your guests won't want to leave.

AHHH....here I am after a day of battling the traffic on BLACK FRIDAY!
ReplyDeleteMy dear one, your comment today is just precious to me, for yes, disappointment is the fire that fuels the fire of poetry and reflection, as well as joy of course. But I am determined to use the pitfalls and lessons from trying to be an artist in my writing. Hmmmm....we have discussed this before! WRITING is the release for it all. The skill comes in elegantly weaving it into a enduring message for anyone who is willing to listen.
MUCH LOVE TO YOU and how is everyone after all that turkey around that fab table?
Anita
Big hugs to our dear Anita, Penny, and YOU, dear Violet!
ReplyDeleteWhat a splendid table, sweet friend...I hope Thanksgiving was filled with love and laughter for you...
Many blessings,
- Irina
