Gold Ink. Gold Glitter. Gold Joy!
Although I am rusty at my calligraphy skills
I wanted to make some personalized note cards
as a birthday gift for a friend.
Before the pearlescent acrylic ink dried, I sprinkled on gold glitter.
The cards are made from a 105# Bristol paper,
creased with a bone folder,
the front torn to form a deckled edge
enhanced with Stickles glitter glue.
I made sure they fit the size envelopes I had on hand.
Presented in a clear cello bag,
wrapped in paper with large gold dots and sparkly gold ribbon
It was fun to create a personalized gift
{and I am so into gold and sparkle right now!}

ReplyDeleteI do know that the end of the year is calling me to get into work earlier and I totally missed blogging yesterday because I had to run off! Oh Violet my dear, these cards are STUNNING and with the gold? So fabulous! This is an art I have never tried, and yet it is something I know I would engage in because it involves writing! How you manage to find the time to create the level of beauty my friend, you really are an energetic soul. I am happy however, that next week is my last of school, so let's see what the summer holds for "us."
Lovely, sensational, inspiring as always. LOVE! Anita

Violet the notecards are lovely. Loving the gold and glittered effect. I am an advocate of the hand written note and the importance of sending a personal touch. No matter what your friend uses these cards for the receiver will save these lovely sophisticated works of art.
