Of My Favorite Creatures

HORSES

LAMBS

PEACOCKS

and PUPPIES

~ I know I will probably never own any but the latter ~

~ and that is enough ~

two puppies that is!

How hard it was to recently say goodbye to our dear Dazzle,
our 8 year old Afghan Hound
who we loved so dearly.

But as we open a new chapter in our lives
we will soon be welcoming two darling puppies.
~ This photo is of one of them ~
{ it's a breed we have never had but adore }

{not too sure how much adoration will take place by our older Afghan Hound though!}

  2. Dear Violet,
    I knew this was coming, but so wanted it not to arrive.. Dear Dazzle is chasing butterflies, and I know will live on in your heart. I am so sorry for your loss.
    New puppies... This breed looks so familiar, but cannot think of it. What breed is this sweet bundle of joy? I know they will bring years of happiness.

  6. What a LOVELY LOVELY way to end: From Sorrow to Joy. Now that sounds like a good title for a book.

    I am late, but I am finally here, to savor what I love. Horses, lambs, dogs...and to get a bit of WHO I LOVE, my beloved friend for over 6 years.

    I am so happy for you that you are writing a new page in your book of living. Dazzle will always appear on many of the previous chapters, and thanks to your keen eye, you have many awesome photos to look back.

    BRAVA! You are moving on with stunning memories, and a future of play and love. I'll be there with you. (LOVE THOSE HORSES!)

  7. I'm so sorry to read that Dazzle has crossed "The Rainbow Bridge." I agree with Anita, your last line would make a lovely book title - From Sorrow to Joy. Maybe a collection of your beautiful works and prose? I'm looking forward to seeing more of your new babies. (TWO? Seriously?!)

  10. Bless you dear as you welcome two new puppies into your lives. I still get terribly emotional when I talk about my little BooBoo Sasha kitty and it has been two years. Our fur-children really capture our hearts. Joy and Bliss Dear...

  11. I am here Violet, and it is beautiful to see you take on some new loving. Your loss as sad as it was, dazzle had a home full of love for home, more then some fur-babies get in a lifetime.
    What is your new breed?
    We are considering a play mate for our Pia, ( Italian Greyhound)

    I agree with all who love your saying, it would make a great book title.

    See you soon beautiful, and will love seeing your new arrivals and their names :))

    Xx
