A Little Fairy Cottage

Aqua Paint to enhance a birdhouse-turned-fairy-house
{do you see the tiny horse in the pasture?}

the bird house as purchased at T.J. Max

I used craft paint on the window and door trim,
covered up the round attic opening and painted the windows to look like glass

~ the garden fairies are enjoying their new cottage ~

and
The LUPINE planted last year has multiplied
and is growing gorgeously!

Oh how spring brings such delight!

Hi Violet,
What's a farmhouse with out a horse in the yard grazing and fairies in the garden are a must :)
I use to tell my daughter when she was little to look for them in the bushes at night, that she might see there glow and of course she did :)

I so wish I had a Tj Max closer to us, we have Ross and Marshals and that will have to due. Your bird home inspires me to want to add a few brightly painted ones to my garden :)

Thank you sweet friend for taking the time to visit me and what my lantern inspires you with.
You can visit when ever you want, I will return soon.

Xoxo

HOW HOW DID I MISS THIS?

Oh my friend, I check my blog roll every morning, and something crazy has been happening for months now; some blogs don't bump up and this one did NOT!

Your photos thrill me to a point of giddyness! That cottage is just sensational and the aqua is so alive and such a happy color. It's our favorite! And the lupine, wow, it is vibrant and healthy! I see the little horse in his pasture!

What is it about our love for fairy cottages? It will never cease..I must show you (when I get myself organized) some photos I finally took for the magazine of some of our local cottages. Oh the beauty of these Minneapolis homes!

Thank you for this gorgeous share today. Now back to email!

GOOD MORNING!

Wow, where do I begin....I had a glorious day out in the garden my friend, and now I come back here to see your garden exploits! Again, this fairy garden is just beautiful and deserves to be in a fairy garden exposition! As I look at your terrain and that of others, I see how different the earth is in different regions. I wish we could grow lupine here, but it would not survive our winters, and our soil is clay. Our landscape is bumpy and the grass riddled with weeds, yet there is something beautiful about our terrain...but your yard is immaculate and this fairy house is stunning.

I will come via email, but I wanted to thank you for coming to visit with me. LOVE!
