We've been having a few craft days
in which my daughter and a friend's daughter and I
have been making paper mache snowmen and angels
-
The one above is by Megan and OH! She is adorable!!!
We spent her birthday embellishing with paint and glitter
-
I've discovered a product called Celluclay
~ used my half-off coupon at Michaels and bought a large bag ~
Here are some of our works in progress
-
and covered them with the wet clay-like paper mixture.
It took a few days to dry so the embellishing had to wait.
Here are our pieces after drying.... they don't look like
much yet, but just wait!!!
-
Come back to see how they look after todays session!
Here is a little guy I finished, he stands only 2 inches tall
on a round paper mache box covered in glitter
-
-
and Jessica and myself
TOO MUCH FUN!!!
{like that is possible}

~ And now, a completely different subject ~
Don't you just love those "MakeOver" shows in which
those with an eye for fashion completely make over someone
from looking a mess into someone beautiful?
(I find it quite fascinating)
-
~ Well, here it is in reverse ~
-
-
A doll I bought for Megan's 2-1/2 year old daughter,
Here she is wearing the tutu I made for her
and wearing an elegant tiara.
-
-
I knew a photo had to be taken before she became well-loved
~ not set on a shelf for display ~
-
-
-
Here she is 3 days later

Cute snowmen - even cuter two-year-old makeover!
THIS IS FABULOUS! The snowmen, oh dear, what great funnnnnn! And the doll makeover, kids are the experts on that one! I must investigate this Celuclay dearest! This is the perfect medium for such delightful characters! All your work looks so wonderful and just as GREAT as many pieces you see on-line out of well-known studios! KUDOS TO YOU ALL and especially to the make-over artist! TEEEEHEEEEE! LOVE, Anita
WOOOO! Here I am after a wild and wooly day with 50 fourth graders! But we had such fun REVISING ROUGH DRAFTS of writing...oh how I love to pick their little brains! Dearest friend, I am ever so grateful for the LOVE OF GOD that brings us all together through His gift of creativity and excitement of life....keep creating, keep loving and dreaming for WITHOUT A VISION, THE PEOPLE PERISH.....we were made to dream and create about PARADISE, and if we can make a little of it happen here, we are doing what He intended, I believe...
Have a magical weekend and hope to chat a bit and share projects! Anita
VIOLET! And the same goes for me; your header, your ideas, your wit and wonder ALWAYS make me walk away with joy dearest. Your friendship is the sparkliest of them all!!! OH! It is snowing cats and dogs here, but it is the wet and heavy stuff! I HOPE THIS DOESN'T PUT A STOP to next week's building!!
Enjoy your day, Anita
