Angel Collection

Angel Tree Topper Collection
-
I just walked around the house counting my angels.
~ Tree Topper Angels that is ~
-
... This is the White Gowned Angel ...
She sits in my studio window upon a tall shabby chic candleholder.
I've added the aqua pinecone glittered bird.
She is wearing a white fur-trimmed jacket over a lacy glittered gown,
holding a garland of white sparkly beads and a white bird
-
There are seven more tree-topper angels scattered about the house.
Only eight angels??? Hmmmm ... if I 'collect' these,
which I must, since I've counted eight,
I may look for one for 2010.
Yes, that will be a good treasure to find for this year's Christmas.

~ I thought I'd bring a Christmas Carol to each post this December ~
-
This one is by James Montgomery, who was born in 1771
-
"Angels from the realms of glory,
Wing your flight o'er all the earth;
Ye who sang creations story,
Now proclaim Messiah's birth.
-
Come and worship,
Come and worship,
Worship Christ, the newborn King!
-
Shepherds, in the fields abiding,
Watching o'er your flocks by night,
God with man is now residing;
Yonder shines the infant Light."
-
-
(These are just two of the four verses)

What do you collect in Christmas decor?
And ... do you have a favorite Christmas carol?

GOOD MORNING DEAREST FRIEND! I am sooooo behind and to think that I had a day off yesterday. I did spend it in my basement atelier and made some cool things. I COLLECT STARS!!!! But angels are my number one pick and my favorite song is a French one called, "Il est né le divin enfant." I love it so much that a couple of years ago, I took a linen table cloth and in gold paint, I stamped the words to this song all around the perimeter of the tablecloth. It is stunning.

I MISS YOU...I must go to my email to catch up! GREAT POST, GREAT ART AS ALWAYS! Anita

Oh dear Violet,

You should see the snow we got. I have been busy doing grocery shopping and traveling is treacherous! Ruben is shoveling and our builder is coming later to shovel the mess on the new subfloor.

Dearest, thank you for coming and leaving a heart-melting comment. Jesus is our only light, and no matter what we call ourselves or what "religion" we are affiliated with, the bottom line is that we all take our life from HIM. What a wonderful time of the year that someone created to focus on HIM, but my hope is that when all the lights go out, that we all can still believe. I will eventually get to your email....and with a picture or two!

LOVE YOU DEAR SISTER, Anita

Violet - love your "Christmas Angels"! And the way you always photograph everything, your use of light is beautiful. To answer your question: I buy a special new ornament every year. The last couple of years I've been into the Robert Stanley whimsical ornaments. Pictures on my blog. Merry Christmas!
