S P A R K L E like crazy!

~ Let's Talk Chandeliers ~

These past few months I've been on the search for unique lighting
for the home we are building

My husband came around, agreeing to
C H A N D E L I E R S
-
and I've visited all my favorite
antique and vintage flea market shops
looking for fabulous lighting for several rooms

Above left, for my studio.  The middle one is for my walk-in closet,
and the one on the right is going in the powder room.
-
The two photos below are of the one that will go in the kitchen

These babies are going in the laundry room
{another photo of them is further down, but first take another
look at the kitchen chandy}

Oh the Sparkle!
~ there were rainbow prisms reflecting on the walls and ceiling ~

These lights for the laundry room I just found a few days ago
and were quite the bargain!
{... I just hope they will give off enough light ...)

I've been cleaning and shining these crystals,
re-attaching some that fell off between the shops and my home,
and preparing them to be hung this coming Thursday.
-
I plan to be there while the electrician works,
with a blanket under his ladder to catch any that might fall off
-
I hope he handles these with care!
(he has no idea what he is in for)
-
{Nita, if you are reading this, I too am rich in chandeliers and dogs}
-
I am using the vintage crystal chandelier
that was in my previous home's studio
in the master bath over the tub.
-
Two others I kept and spray painted,
one heirloom white for the guest room,
and one black for the bedroom.
-
I kept my former dining room chandelier
that I found at a flea market shop.
-
There will be a chandelier in the entry way that we
purchased at an actual lighting store {gasp!}
-
My husband has come a long way
from where he once was on the lighting road
{the road that had can lights in every ceiling}
-
This is the house of chandeliers and skylights
and I am giddy with excitement!

Twinkle Lights in the Center

Chandeliers, Shop Vignettes, Vacation

I collect chandeliers
... photos of them that is...

Here are some beauties from shops I visited
while on vacation at the beach last week

... This one was through a shop window in the evening ...

Bottles in a window always delight me

And white decor gathered on a table

And anything under a cloche

And anything that

And although this photo doesn't go with my theme,
I just had to show you the cousins posing on the beach!
(our Afghans and our daughters Shelties)

I hope you have a relaxing weekend!

My husband had surgery on his shoulder this morning
(torn rotator cuff) and is doing well
(pain pills are a good thing)

Reflect Sparkle Illuminate

A Most Amazing Chandelier
captured my attention in a shop this week
The bronzy-pinkish crystals were fabulous!

This one was in an antique mall
Those purple crystals! Gasp!

-
And in another high-end antique shop
this huge one with PINK crystals really made my eyes light up!

A mere $25,000, should you be interested.

-

-
These lovely cloche's were in a shop. So sparkly!
... They sat upon a mirrored table, everything was so reflective...
-

This seashell filled crystal bowl sits upon my desk
-
The other morning as I was leaving the room
I looked back and the crystals were sparkling
so wondrously from the morning light, I had to grab my camera.

What could be more summery in accessories
than aqua, turquoise and sea green beads
with a golden rhinestone-studded
S T A R F I S H
as a necklace?

Vintage Chandelier!

Estate sale chandelier that I am getting as an early birthday gift!
-
It may be from the 1940's and has five arms.
I've done some google searches and have found some similar
but not with the draping crytsal "buttons"
-
~ It's at an amazing price ~
(dare I tell you ~ $125!)
If anyone knows more about this chandy I'd love to hear from you!
(It's not yellow like the photo, but does need to be cleaned!)

A Colorful Chandy

This Colorful Chandy
was in a dress shop I visited while on vacation recently
~  Wouldn't this go quite well with the furniture in my previous post? ~

It beckons S P R I N G in all its colors
-
It's been rainy and windy today
But the crocus are blooming in my front yard
Offering the H O P E of Springtime
in each bud... and the tulips and daffodills will follow
-
... growing in the divine  C O L O R S  of life and beauty ...
-
I am thankful
=
~ so thankful ~
to God
for
creating
everything
in
living color!

~ And I'd love to have that 'gypsy/boho' chandy ~
-such a fun splash of whimsy!

Chandelier Love

I have a love affair with chandeliers

I'm always photographing them

The crystals delight me!

The glimmer and glam

The light reflecting off each prism

Bright sparkles dancing in the dark

Oh how I love crystal chandeliers!

Do they light a spark in your heart also?
Delight  ~  Joy  ~  Beauty  ~ Grace

... Too many chandeliers, not enough rooms??? ...
Oh for the love of more chandeliers!
-
We purchased a vintage chandelier last weekend
and my dear husband installed it in our dining room.
It is so lovely
And can you believe,
not one crystal upon it?
Yet its beauty speaks to me also... 3 lights upon each 'saucer'
(what are they called?)
A total of 18 bulbs.  Now that's a lot of
L  I  G  H  T !!!
(we have a dimmer switch  :  )
I will share photos of it in my next post!
