Even though I started early, at least with decor,

I have 2 weeks worth of work to fit into one.

And yet I sit here blogging.

because I had to wish you a

Merry Christmas !

~ May the beauty of this holy season fill your heart with wonder ~

How silently, how silently,

The wondrous gift is giv'n!

So God imparts to human hearts

The blessings of his heav'n.

No ear may hear his coming,

But in this world of sin,

Where meek souls will receive him still,

The dear Christ enters in.

(3rd verse of  'O Little Town of Bethlehem')

My doe oil painting on the dining room mantle

This will be my simple Thanksgiving decor this year

This doe painting was inspired by a scripture in Psalms

"As the deer pants for streams of water,

so my soul pants for you, my God.

My soul thirst for God, the living God"

Psalms 42:1-3

...My paintings in progress feature bucks with glorious antlers,

{put on hold til our Thanksgiving feast is over}

Happy Thanksgiving!

May the love of family and friends fill all our hearts

~ with glorious gratitude ~
