While listening to the new Josh Groban Christmas CD ( so beautiful! ) and then having a Christmas movie on TV, and visions of suger-plums dancing in my head (whatever those are?...)
I began ... and was so glad that last year I organized all the Christmas decor into separate bins for each room and placed photos of each room into the bins, making it so easy this year! I can place things the way they were last year, or do new things, or add to my hearts content. The tiny white sparkling lights add so much I wonder why I don't use them year round. Oh, that wire basket? I found it at a flea-market boutique a couple of days ago for $12 and so far I've just added odds and ends to it. The red 'garland' on top is a necklace ... I'm thinkin' I'll go gather up all the rest of my red jewelry now...... (after posting this I hung red brooches from the top basket)

Looks beautiful, and sounds like a wonderful way to ease into the Christmas season. Wonderful ideas about organizing boxes by rooms. I just want to sit and stare at our tree with Josh on---and get lost in that voice. Have a wonderful week!
I am still savoring the beauty of our Thanksgiving celebration, so have yet to begin the frosting over with Christmas cheer. BUT . . . you have inspired me! Simply beautiful! : )
I've tried to pack things up according to rooms but I do things differently every year. I'm loving your idea of including pictures in teh box though....it'll give me inspiration as well as show me "what not to do". ;o)
Violet, your home is so pretty and very elegant and cozy. Such pretty decorations. I loooooove your white twinkle lights, too.
