HAVE A SEAT
and come visit the room of ribbon
at Nancy's Sewing Basket shop in the Queen Anne district of Seattle

A Shop Window ... I am crazy for that pink bike!

The day before yesterday it rained all day long.
I stayed in and worked on some projects for a show I am doing
in a week and a half (yikes! too soon!!!)
A French-Inspired-Flea-Market
in Kirkland, I'll share more about that next time.
I watched 2 Audrey Hepburn movies and glittered and embellished
to my heart's content... not minding the rain at all.
~
Then yesterday, also planning to work ... my friend Lynette
called up and wanted to know if I wanted to go to Seattle
to get some ribbon. Well, how could I say no?!?
It was a beautiful sunny day and a girl always needs
M O R E R I B B O N

What a fun day!
We had frappacino's ... shopped ... had a delicious dinner at a cafe.
Browsed some amazing shops.
If you love sparkle and RHINESTONES
a visit to 'Rhinestone Rosies' in Queen Anne
is highly recommended!
as many colors of sparkly jewels as the rows of ribbon at Nancy's!
It has been several years since I've visited Rosie.
I let out a s q u e e l of joy as I entered the shop
Yes, I know I should have some photos.
But I was too awestruck to get photos of Lynette trying on
those amazing necklaces, earrings and bracelets!

(Now, to get back to work!!!)

Forget the chair........ this needs standing up time!!!

Gorgeous ribbons..... I loved that you were watching Audrey Hepburn as you 'glittered' to your heart's content. Sounds like a perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon!

Oh my sweet Violet,

I am home now from a 12 hour day in HIGH HEELS!!! HHEEEEE! I typically wear them to school, no problem, but I haven't been running around in high heels all summer, so today I was wondering why my hips and calves were hurting! Your words on my blog, oh dearest, are treasured deeply. AND how profound to experience the BEGINNING and THE END...such is this beautiful gift called life. I often shutter in awe to think that I have been given a soul, an eternal soul that will never die. Roland is free, and little baby that is coming will have her own journey. What a miracle. And your comments on my art mean a lot to me as well, coming from an artist such as yourself, whose art is perfectly executed and is a marvel to behold. I am so tired, but I just wanted to come to say thank you for your lovely friendship that we have shared and will continue to share.....there is TOO MUCH GLITTERING TO BE DONE! And, Christ, He is fabulous and like a French friend once said so beautifully in her southern French accent, "Notre Seigneur Magnifique."

My condolences to you both for Roland's absence in your lives; let us celebrate his presence in God's temple....wow, that is an awesome thought...

Much love, Anita
