Beauty and Whimsy

Snowy Branches and Shades of Blue
-
Green Boughs & Red Delights
-
Golden Reindeer Glimmer and Gleam
-

Magical Moments
-
And soft furry creatures
-
Giant glittered pears
-
A mermaid of blue
-
And a Fairy too
-
Patinas of moss and turquoise
-
Decorative Delights
-
A fairy land of dreams
-
Where sparkle and color dance before ones eyes
-
And tiny fairies peek out from under a leaf
-

And giant Christmas chickens wear silly clothes
-
Ornaments of blue and white delight the eyes
-
(are you still processing giant "Christmas Chickens" ?)
-
(me too)
-
And bears and penguins watch the people go by
-
These are just some of the sights beheld
in a walk through a beautiful shop yesterday
that inspired ~ and ignited ~ us to
get out our own Christmas decorations
and
c r e a t e
some seasonal beauty
in our home
-
-
Now to get back to the boxes and bins that
I've procrastinated on with this blog post : )

Love the new header! I'm going to try to get my outside stuff up tomorrow and inside next week. My color scheme is white tree, white garland, silver, vintage shiny brite ornaments, lots of aqua tinsel trees, and mercury glass of course. Can't wait to see your decor. I'm kind of dreading pulling it all out.

Are all of those fairies & mermaids yours? I have a friend that does a teal colored tinsel tree done with mermaid themed items. Soooooooo pretty. And I too am having trouble getting around all the buckets & bins! HUGS!

I love seeing your photos and enjoy the beautiful designs. I love all color schemes however traditional red and green is probably my go to. Holly Jolly to you...

I'm hoping to get started on the decorating this weekend. We'll see. At least I'll get the Advent candles out. I think that this year I'm going for a natural Christmas - lots of whites, greens and woodsy colours, with maybe just a touch of red. I'm pretty traditional.

I read your comment on my blog where you said you had five dogs for Thanksgiving. I couldn't write you back because it went to no reply. But....I love having dogs around at the holidays of course. None of them were mine. I had to leave mine at home but we had four. I could have brought mine but that would have been too much chaos. But they did get turkey afterwards that I brought home.

VIOLET! I just came on the cusp of your changing posts....I caught your new header, but you may not have pushed the PUBLISH button yet.....now, for this magical stroll:

LOVE THE MOSS AND PATINA
THE FAIRIES AND SEA MAIDENS
THE PENQUINS AND POLAR BEARS
THE BLUE AND TURQUOISE ORNAMENTS
THE CHICKENS, YES, THE CHICKENS

Just all put a huge smile on my face and I am so delighted to tell you that I have been working on my small but special ornaments and tree all week long. And to think that in 3 more weeks, I will have TWO WEEKS OFF FOR VACATION!!!! I am loving every single speck of glitter coming out of my workshop and yours dearest.

Now back to your plastic bins....just do it, get it over with and before you know it, it will all be organized!

LOVE TO YOU! Anita
