Snowy Beach Vacation

Snow on the beach is a rare sight
and we were so happy to be here last week as it snowed
on the Oregon Coast... we have not been to the beach in winter before.

It was very cold, and we experienced every type of weather
( ~ except warm ~ )
sun, hail, rain, sun, wind, snow, sun, blue skies and
glorious cloud formations and sunsets

Our dogs love vacations at the beach
~ and long to run free on the miles of sand ~
... sighthounds can  not usually be trusted unleashed though ...
so our Afghan Hounds only ran short distances,
until my husband ran out of breath and energy ~ and then we walked and walked
all bundled up ~ and they wore their lovely fur coats.

~ It was a perfect winter vacation ~
and I snapped so many photos, having never been here in the snow

Snow on the beach is rare, here, too. The images you've captured are lovely.
But yes, let's move onto spring!

Beautiful pictures - but of course my favorites are of the dogs! Our first afghan would go bonkers with joy when his feet touched sand! I always imagined it was some ancestral memory of life on the desert. But you're right, you can't trust them to be unleashed! You would still be chasing them today. Thanks for the smile.

GOOD EVENING MY DEAR, DEAR FRIEND, with whom I cannot bear a day without.....it was awful to think that I could not see your notes in email....I hope you got my email from school. It looks as if I can access it now.

O.K.....these photos. Wow. The dogs are brilliantly stunning, and they FIT you to a TEE. Randy, what a man!! teeeeheeee, and the beach....when we lived in Massachusetts, we lived right across from a beach in Beverly, across from Salem. When it would snow, it was magical. I remember one Easter going out to meet some friends for our own SUNRISE SERVICE ON THE BEACH...it snowed mercy and snowflakes from the sky. What a wonder HE made our world, our hearts, our hopes. I am looking forward to more dearest...that crow too; what a fabulous silhouette...HEY, have you ever done anything with cut outs?????? JUST SAYIN'!

LOVE TO YOU, Anita

Pretty weird - that's right, pretty AND weird! I am so glad you posted your photos because it's the first time I've ever seen snow at the Oregon beach, in person OR in photos!!! Seems surreal . . . if I hadn't seen the weather reports, I would think you photoshopped! I was so happy to see you and Randy on your way home, and glad you had such an event-free drive :)

Is there anything
cozier than being
at the coast ANY time
of the year?? We go
every summer and bring
my mom and dad's dobie.
One year we flew Gracie
out with us and she
loved it, too! Last
summer we went Newport,
but I think I really
like Long Beach the
best : ) Your pics are
amazing, Violet!
