High up in the trees
they behold a different view
than I who sit upon my porch and
w o n d e r
-
Suddenly at once they burst forth
from the trees into the night sky
As I look up amazed
at hundreds of flying birds
(...And try not to think about a certain movie....)
-
filling the trees and the sky ~ a wonder to see
~ but I'm glad they aren't around all the time in such quantity! ~

The next morning, in my yard
bursts forth other creations that fill me with
D E L I G H T
The GLORIOUS colors of SUMMER

Oh how I will miss you when the days turn cold
and winters chill fills the air!

But for now I will let you fill my heart
~ beautiful delights of the summer garden ~

And dearest, what a delight it has been but will CONTINUE TO BE as we both wonder at the sparkles that the cold night sky will bring, and each glimmering snow flake will reveal!!! Oh how your colors are SO VIVID INDEED! And those birds.....SCARY FOR SURE!!! They make a clickety clackety noise that creeps me out!!!
Birds and blooms... love them both!
Those bird pictures are a bit scary, yes, reminds me of a certain movie. Ha! But in general I love birds and watch them everyday as they flit about my yard. Lovely hydrangeas.
hugs~
What a beautiful post, Violet. Those gorgeous flowers must be from your garden. And did you really see that many birds, all flocking together? Are they really ready to go fly South? There is a sadness in that, but also a comfort in knowing how God has given them this internal clock and compass, and He will take care of them.
And I LOVE "that certain movie"! haha
Thanks so much for coming by and commenting on Jean's work. I know that means a lot to him...and me!

Pretty, pretty! Love the birdies and the flowers! I am with ya...summer is departing too quickly.
I thought it was so interesting...I posted something with flowers and birds too today! :)
I probably should have saved the bird photos til the end of October!
They all come to hang out in the trees around here every so often, then go off to another place...
Of course the sky wasn't as pretty as my embellished ones, but the birds are real... but like I said, I'm glad they don't live around our house all the time!

These are amazing photos. I love how cheerful and at peace they make me feel. Although I must admit that the birds remind me of The Birds!

Those hydrangeas and roses are simply divine; a perfect combination of colours and forms.
Only a little while left. The last blast of colour is so sweet, isn't it?
