DEAREST!!!!!! I love that scrappy little puppy on YOUR pile of books! And how fun to see the differences in your interests, but somehow, it works, doesn't it? Ruben and I have many many similar likes, and in movies. BUT he tends to like LOUD and explosive ones and I will NOT sit there to watch that!!! Oh I cannot wait to see what develops on the HOME FRONT for you two! And to see what styles you both come up with. ONE HEART is most definitely made up of three chambers, his/hers and HIS. That is how it works!!!

I must say in our do-over marriage my husband and I couldn't be more opposite however somehow it all works out quite well. We merely give and take and pick our battles. Your new home will be fabulous given your beautiful style. Happy building...

My oh my I LOVE your header Violet. I really do.
Randy and I are total opposites. But I must say like Anita, Randy loves loud and explosive also, I DO NOT.
I just watched the Edith Piaf story "La vie en Rose" with Marion Cottilard... OMG, I LOVED it. I told Randy he missed a good one. Too bad for him. It's English subtitles and well worth it if you get the chance to rent it.
Do you feel as we get older we have less in common with our spouses? Maybe because when we were young with little ones we were too busy... now we have more time. I think I need to find a hobby, lol.
Sending you love Violet.
Love Claudie

P.S. I just sent the girls their Summer Breeze card from you. I sent it for Valentines Day. They just now got them. Takes forever from Canada. THEY LOVE THEM.

CUTE!!! I'm not sure he has a style... Hee Hee. But, I think you are right about opposites. I also think that it proves God has a sense of hummor that he makes us so different yet... poof he makes that magic between us. Have a great week!

Wow, such an exiting project Violet! Me and my hubby match in most things but clash in some, when it comes to design, but in general, we find the right compromise!

Beautiful post..gorgeous photos!!Beautiful uplifting blog!Congrats on your new upcoming abode!
We both love antiques thankfully..so we merge all kinds of vintage/antique styles in our setting. We both get to be happy!
Wonderful question!

Hi Violet! I am very lucky that I have a hubby who also loves old things. He pretty much let's me do whatever I want in our home. I try not to make it too feminine although I'm sure it's much more feminine than he would choose on his own. He knows how much joy I get out of decorating our space so he leaves me to it. He's a keeper!
Have a wonderful weekend!
xo,
Karen

Dear Violet, sounds so familiar!
My style is exactly what your lovely books show..my significant other very kindly allows me to do what I like in terms of decor. He, on the other hand, would be quite content living in a tent in the wilderness! Heee :)
How fun to build and design from scratch and to your own specification and tastes...can't wait to see the progress.
Wishing you a beautiful weekend!
xoxo,

My dearest friend,

THANK YOU FOR COMING TO SEE MY POST. I am hoping my bunnies will HOP away into someone's heart. The glitter comes from above, doesn't it?

LOVE YOU! Anita

I have almost the same little doggie and love it so much...both stacks of books intrigue me and I think you two are going to pull it off without divorce :)
