Bed Crown. Dog Crown. Guest Room

I've been working on the guest room this week.

There's now a bed crown,
and I painted the dark iron bed with white chalk paint.
She pushed off the doll and reclaimed her crown
{because she is the only Queen of course!}

I found the shabby chic lampshade in an antique shop
(see that dark bed?  it's now white!)

made with strips of fabric, tulle and lace

~ Now if I can just keep the dogs off the white bedding ~

sharing with other lovers of white at Becky's blog

GOOD MORNING VIOLET! Ok, what does one do in the presence of such a queen? Do we bow upon entering? Do we call her "Mum" after addressing her as Your Majesty for the first time? After she gives us permission to WITHDRAWAL, do we carefully back out of the room, not turning our backs on her? Do tell....we would NOT want offend the queen (oops, I better capitalize that) - Queen.

teeheee

You captured it. You got "the look" and it is ethereal and fabulous that even Dazzle recognizes that THIS is IT.

LOVE LOVE it all my dear friend. Anita

Hi violet, lové your shabby shade as well, it so much fun to add something into a room unexpected.
As for the iron bed, I too have a darker iron bed that my daughter wants me to do in white, yet adding that old choppiness to it as I did to mine. How did the chalk paints work out? I just used spray primer and then top coated with spray paints, also adding a mix to it so it would crackle here and there and then sook a palm sander to it to distress it up.

Love that crown you made turning a shelf upside down creating a crown for the bed and what more can I say then your queenly pet is so deserving of wearing the crown in your house hold...back off kitty :)
Your afghan hound is beautiful, we had one when I was a teen, I got mine for a couple that I did nanny work for. Loved her dearly.

Thank you for this beautiful share, now I am off to create.
Thank you for gracing your time and beauty over at my place. See you soon.

Oh Violet,

Your comment and how you arranged it:

merci mon amie
for the lovely words
I need to hear before
I go back to school

on Tuesday - the most important
thing I need to remember are my
students' humanity and then comes
the technology, the tool with which

I will record their progress
but the learning comes
from the heart and mind
and I am the captain of the ship

how glorious is that....

I will twirl into their lives
for sure, knowing that I have
a sister across the miles
like you who believes

in the power of passion.

MERCI!
