Decor ROCKS

I've been intrigued with rocks lately.
I remember loving shiny rocks as a child

We have good sized rocks in our planting areas,
and on a rainy day I was admiring the various colors of the wet shiny rocks.
~ The ones above I gave a couple coats of shiny spray gloss ~
and brought them inside

Rocks in the Garden

Rock formation, driftwood and a feather
in a tarnished silver dish
photographed on our stained concrete floors

Rocks for sitting upon

Rocks in Flower Shape
on the wet concrete patio

And rocks on a tarnished tray and pedestal
on the granite kitchen island

I wonder who decided which stones are valuable
and which are just rocks?

{and I'm still a rock collector after all these years}

Ahhhh....this is wonderful, on this early Friday morning before I go to work. I too love stone and any structures made from this abundant material from the earth! Minerals and rocks have always been a fascination for me as well, especially those with SHINY substances in them! I have wondered as well, who determined what rocks or minerals were valuable...is it their hardness, their rareity?

Your yard is so immaculate. I wish we could get ours to look that neat my friend. What a gorgeous summer you have had in your garden, creating the most enchanting scenarios for your grands and for me. Thank you for all the memories of this fairyesque summer. Anita

I have always been fascinated with rocks too. As a young girl my big treat every birthday was to go to the little town gem and mineral store and select one small rock for my charm bracelet. I also have special rocks I put at my pond. And in a dish in the foyer. Glad to see I am not alone. Yours are beautiful dear...
