Her Highness has a Birthday

A Royal Portrait of the Birthday Queen

I made the paper glittered crown,
the white faux cake, and the real aqua-frosted cake.
Previously ~ not just for the dog Queen.

Her Highness decreed "CAKE FOR ALL!"
"LET THEM EAT CAKE!"
{she thinks she came up with that saying, Marie}

The King took it to heart, and gobbled up half the cake
~ and a candle ~
before the party even began!
{he may be getting old, but when the situation arises, his youthful turbo-mode kicks in
and he can be fast where food is concerned}

Fortunately,
there was another candle to be found in the royal pantry

"Call in the Royal Jesters to blow out my candles!"
she exclaimed.

Which they were more than happy to do

It's Good to be Queen
{she thinks she came up with that saying too}

The Queen poses with her portrait

(which if left there would soon be shredded)

We should have just wrapped up a roll of toilet paper as a gift,
for she finds such delight in creating 'snow flakes' which she then joyfully spreads all over
the royal palace

And now, she would like to proclaim to all her royal subjects

"Let It Be Spring!"

and what the Queen wants the Queen gets.
(are you listening weather man?)

And we are filled with joy ~ for she is a good Queen!
{most of the time that is}

~ Violet ~

P.S.  If you have images with a lot of white in them,
and they come up in your posts as gray, change them into 'PNG' files
and they will be white.  I don't know why, but this worked for me.

Oh Violet, they are majestic beauties. Many, many years ago I too was the proud owner of an Afgan Hound they are magical. Now a owner of an Italian Greyhound we too can't wait to so up her first birthday real big, she is a smart people dog, but we don't tell her she's a dog she really thinks she's one of us.

I love the party cake, did you make it? And the crown is stately.

HERE I AM! YIKES, you must have put this up after I left for work!

OK, I have a lot to say about Her Royal Highness! V

Votre Majesté, je suis honorée d'être dans votre présence; vous êtes si BELLE!

OHHHH...this is way too darling! What strikes me is that these two hairy royals seem to KNOW they are special and that they are great models for the camera! Violet, your props, your cakes, your art...you never cease, ever. I love that you know how to play, and you play well. All the women here....BOnjour Doré, HAY PENNY! They all know how to play. And I see Andrea, and I don't know Susan, but I would have to say that we all agree that you reign in the area of creating beauty on the spot, in and out of season.

You inspired me so regarding faux cakes. I can't stop making them now! I made two more and sent one off last week. Thank you my dear friend, for the daily fun and companionship!

She's so pretty! Happy Birthday to the Queen. I live with a Queen myself. The Mean Queen...I call her. I love these photos of her with her cake. I always laugh when my friends say they are going to go buy special dog treats for their dogs for their birthday. No need. Give them a piece of people birthday cake. That works just fine and for dinner? McDonald's hamburgers. Won't hurt them once in awhile...just don't give it to them every day. Birthday cake once a year never hurt anyone!

Loved this post!

This post is absolutely
amazing, and I ate it up,
just like that cake, from
start to finish! How in the
WORLD did you get The Queen
to sit so nicely with her
crown on?? I just love it.

Going to forward this post
to my dog-loving daughter
at college--I know it will make
her smile!
