Fireplace wall and painting the oak

We've been doing a lot of remodeling
and fixing up this 30 year old home we bought last summer,
and there's so much to share here on my blog and I'm so behind!

So I'll just jump in with sharing our fireplace wall.
My husband designed a new mantle, including corbels,
spray painted the brass black,
and I painted the oak built-ins and fireplace.
Here's the 'before'

And here's the finished wall.  Oh, and I painted the entire room.
The final thing to accomplish in this room is new flooring.
A beautiful tile in grays in the area for going in and out
and probably carpet for the rest, also in gray.

I'll be sharing more often now.
Really.
...I know I said that before...

Good Morning Violet,

What a joy it is for me to have you visit me, so in turn I could visit you!
I enjoyed this post so much and this transformation is absolutely stunning, and no simple task to do so.

I was unable to send a email to you directly so I am doing so here!
Hope to see you again, as I will be back to visit you too.

Jemma

Thank you so much for visiting, it is always such a joy to see you there..
