'Hospitality' is this southern girls middle name

There is so much fun to be had in
PLAYING DRESS-UP

~ and putting on some VINTAGE GLAM for a day with girlfriends ~

My sequined silk dress, $12 from a vintage shop.
Mrs. Sparkles duponi silk dress, a mere $7 at a thrift store.
-
Can you believe I had to pay $5 more and there's not one bit of fur on mine?!?
-
Added a bit of tulle off to the side
{and some feathers on my thrift store vintage black velvet and fur trimmed hat}

I am so thankful this Christmas for the gift of sparkling

and someone to play dress-up with
(as my husband will not even wear a tie)
-
-
-
I hope that once in a while you too will throw caution to the wind
and wear something that is glamourous and fabulous
just because it is so
FUN
-
-
(I wonder what the women thought who were there and don't know us though,
as my usual wardrobe is jeans ~ and Mrs. Sparkles wears clothes she can clean the barn in)

Wishing all my SPARKLING blogging friends

Merry Christmas
filled with light and hope,
may you hear the angels halelujuahs
that have rung out through the centuries
from the night they announced our Lord's birth
to the shepherds
with their sheep.
Glory   to   God
in  the   highest!
and peace on earth, goodwill to all!

PERFECT. WONDERFUL. YOu and I MUST do a joint post soon in the coming new year as twins...and then maybe you can photoshop our pictures together to make it look as if we are actually side by side...oh dearest, LET'S DO IT????

THOSE SHOES ARE DIVINE. You must have had the time of your life! We have to make the magic. WE MAKE THE SPARKLES HAPPEN! These vintage pieces are not meant to be sitting in a jewelry box. THEY ARE MEANT TO BE WORN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Violet,
Thank you for your kind and encouraging words on my Christmas poem on Heavenly Minded & Earthly Good. My goal is to continue writing along poetic/literary lines, short but hopefully thought provoking and inspiring pieces that will meet people hearts and minds.

Yes I do know how much you love Anita because she loves you right back and speaks of you often. I thank God that of all the junk on the internet, blogland has afforded us the opportunity to make such wonderful friends. Love your blog. Fantastic title. There's a lot of fun going on here. Right up our alley.
The most joyous Christmas to you and your loved ones.

My darling and wonderful sister. Today is a beautiful day here in MN; no snow, however. We were just out a bit because Ruben is so generous and got me all I really wanted....MORE SPARKLE FOR THE HOLIDAY! 30% off all Christmas ornaments at this very high-end shop...COULDN'T RESIST!

I came back to see that you had visited. Thank you my dear friend...THANK YOU so much for coming to visit a very special post for me. Though I am all grown up now, those moments in those photos bring back so many memories that I still carry with me. God is good. At this moment, you are probably getting everything ready for the kids, working on all the last minute trimmings, and I know that you have a sparkle in your heart for EVERYONE that you love. I am so happy to be your friend my dear. BLESSINGS! Anita

Violet
I had to come and tell how much sister LOVED the gilded sparrow. She translated the verse into French right on the spot. It's perfect for her, it truly is.
Thank you again and again.
It's bitter cold here today brrrrrr
