Spring Decor and Easter

I decoupaged these eggs with pretty napkins,
they are sitting in tiny "violet" teacups

...a bit of moss on a saucer for the sheep...
(which have much more significance to me than bunnies and eggs)

Three-tiered tray on the dining room table

I picked up these little bunny sculptures at a thrift store
for fifty cents each.  All they need is a bit of glitter...
-
Those flowers atop the display were made by a friend for our daughters
wedding cake (if you are reading this daughter, I am keeping them
safe for you.  Or perhaps I was hoping you'd forgotten about them?)

Teeter-totter anyone?

CUTENESS!

Little tea cup vignettes with chocolate eggs,
more bunnies, flowers and moss atop styrofoam in the cup.

Oh yes, I love Cadbury mini chocolate eggs, and Hersheys too.
(note to self, pick up some more to stash for after Easter munching....)
Oh my, I even enjoy those marshmellow-filled chocolate eggs.
And jelly beans.  And oh my, did you know they make
bunny shaped gummy bears?
... or should I say, gummy bunnies ...
(they'd be even better if chocolate-covered)

This is a vintage Bible that belonged to my husbands parents.
~ What a cherished book ~

This holiday we celebrate as Christians
really has nothing to do with bunnies and eggs or little chicks
(although quite adorable)
-
It is about a Lamb.

This is a collage I made featuring a painting
by French artist of the 1800's, William Bouguereau.
It is combined with a hymn onto a painted and collaged background.

I will continue my birthday celebration through next week,
along with Anita and the other April birthday girls that she is
celebrating on her blog,
Be sure to stop by there for a visit this weekend to see
what fabulous beaches she has found for us!

Loved seeing your vignettes celebrating this wonderful season. Beautiful presentations!

I was especially smitten with the sheep and lamb. Love pastoral scenes. Love the sheep grazing safely... a special way to remind us of the Good Shepherd!

Dear Violet

I love bunnies more than most (Ask Anita). They have brought us many adventures and much happiness and laughter overs the years. But as you said, this holiday IS about a lamb. And that is gift and joy beyond my capacity to express.

Thank you so much for your friendship to my wife. It has blessed her and our home, and that is no exaggeration. This is my kind of Christianity.

Thank you also for your visit to my blog.

With sincere respect and affection,

Ruben

Happy EASTER birthday,
Violet! I've had mine
on Easter only a couple
of times. I was always
so glad to have a spring
birthday : ) Now I have
one spring baby and one
autumn baby, so we get
to spread out the celebrating.
All your precious images
are wonderful. I'm very
partial to sheep, especially!
Sending you best wishes
for a joyous day, tomorrow!

Sweet Violet,

Thank you for your visit! I hope you will come back to visit me soon. It's so wonderful to meet you. Oh how I love the French artist whose painting you altered!! He is my favorite artist ( just can't spell his name!). What creativity you have Violet... yes we all have a bit of artistic creativity in our hearts, God just lets it emerge in different manners doesn't he?

Easter blessings to you and yours,
Sherry
